Bedrock on Consoles

Connecting from a console is more complicated, since consoles don’t have first-party support for servers. However, with some tech-magic, we’ll get you online with your friends in less than 30 minutes.

NINTENDO SWITCH

First, to enable third-party servers, follow this tutorial, and STOP when you reach the page titled “Connect to a Server”.

Now, in the field titled “Server Address” type “survivaldirect.cavecraft.net“. Then, in the field titled “Server Port”, type “8073“. Check the “Add to Server List” switch, and then click submit!

When you come back later, connecting to any featured server should bring up the list with CaveCraft, where you can click it to join right back in, no details required!

Unfortunately, we don’t have a tutorial video for PlayStation. So, you might have to figure a little bit out on your own. First, you need to set your Primary DNS to “104.238.130.180” and set your Secondary DNS to “8.8.8.8“. Use this tutorial if you need help figuring out how to update your DNS settings.

Next, open Minecraft and connect to any featured server. It’ll open a window that reads “Connect to a Server”. In the field titled “Server Address” type “survivaldirect.cavecraft.net“. Then, in the field titled “Server Port”, type “8073“. Check the “Add to Server List” switch, and then click submit!

In the future, connecting to any featured server should bring up the list with CaveCraft, where you can click it to join right back in without entering any details!
